Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full-length movie

Image
Based on 9 short film I am left with a bit of confusion mixed with a hint of clarity.  My first impression of the short film version is a 5/10. The plot only showed fear and determination from the characters. At best, the character development was weak as it gave the protagonist more confidence in their rate of survival. With weaknesses come strong points such as the special effects. The machine that both the protagonist and antagonist both  had these effects that left me, the viewer, to wonder what was so special about it. It was not until I witnessed the powerful machine produce prior protagonists who had the same goal of beating the antagonist to collect the tiny machine. On a more important note, the conventions were right on as the setting, theme, and plot all make it identifiable to the genre. Now that I have watched the full movie, I am now enlightened on the full plot. The protagonist is picked very early on. Voices and speech are included to establish companion...

AICE Media Genre Decision

Image
Our official genre is mystery. This decision was made as our group watched multiple films and decided that mystery was most interesting. Upon watching mystery films, we noticed that the audience were more engaged. Collectively, we made a promise to create a media piece that displays growth from our last projects. With Pitch B and this genre, we are certain that our film will perform well!

AICE Media Pitch Redux

Image
Pitch A: A bookbag for a seemingly nice high schooler is left behind. Another student finds the bag with intentions to return it, only to find a shocking secret revealed in the journal. Pitch B: Two masterminds plan a robbery from a nice friend group. Trust is altered as one betrays the other in the final process. Pitch A:  This idea caught our interests as the audience wants to be engaged in the process. Suspense is heightened as the findings in the journal identify the observation of students analyzed from the nice quiet kid. The audience will began to question one another on two possible options. Will the findings will be revealed? Or will the student return the bag and notebook like nothing happened?  Pitch B:  This pitch highlighted the importance of watching your back. Two friends plan to rob a friend group they are interest in joining, while one has their own intentions of manipulating the plan. This comes as a shock as the assumed robbers are good friends a...

AICE Media Intro Redux

My name is Stanley Michel. I’m 17 years old and I’m a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I don’t really have that much to say about myself except that I love sports and gaming. You ask me anything about basketball and I could turn into a absolute nerd. You could also ask me to run the 1s in Madden. I’m also a master of making something out of nothing when it comes to clothes. Like, I could make 3 outfit combinations with just a couple of clothes. Still learning a bit more about that so I ain’t really a master. I could give anyone tips of they ever ask. I do also like cars too. I’m trying to get a v6 camaro. Lil too much but you always gotta aim high. I ain’t never been outside of Florida but I did go to Orlando over the summer. We rented a air bnb and went to Disneyland. I went on all the rides but I almost died on the jurassic park ride. Safe to say i’m never going back on it. My favorite color is wine red. I’m a very lazy student. I like to jog every once in a while. My fav...
